Fall in love with the wonderful landscape of the Urkiola National Park, Spain on this incredible hiking adventure. I’ll take you to the top of the iconic Arrietabaso peak in this beautiful national park near Bilbao. Join me!
For this adventure, we’ll follow a hiking path in the Dima area towards the top of the Arrietabaso (or Pico Errialtabaso) at an altitude of 1,014 meters above sea level. This peak is part of the Sierra de Eskubaratz and is part of the karstic landscape of the Urkiola National Park. First, we’ll begin at the San Lorenzo Hermitage. Then, along the way, I’ll teach you all about the history of the place, including the legend of the last bear in Viazaya. Additionally, we’ll also visit the Neberazar snow pit and learn about its historic use.
The hike covers 10.5 kilometers through forests and stony roads that we’ll accomplish in, approximately, 5 hours. It is an intermediate type of hike, perfect for participants that are looking to try a medium-size mountain. You can participate in this hike any time of the year and, on clear days, we’ll get to enjoy a stunning view of all the valley and the sea.
So, are you ready for an amazing adventure? Then just press the request button and I’ll take you hiking on a dazzling location.
