Definitely one of the most exciting, beautiful and awe-inspiring hikes in the world, the Drakensberg Grand Traverse in South Africa is an adventure you will forget.

For 10 unforgettable days, we would like to guide you through the incredible Drakensberg Mountains in KwaZulu-Natal. This amazing collections of peaks is filled with sensational natural highlights that will absolutely take your breath away.

Out trip will begin in the Sentinel Car Park and will finish at the Bushman’s Neck Border Post. In between those two spots, you will get to climb to the tops of several peaks. Those peaks include the Mont Aux Sources, Cleft Peak, Champagne Castle, Giant’s Castle and the Thabana Ntlenyana.

The traverse stretches from 220 to 240 kilometers depending on the route taken and any side trips you may want to enjoy. Needless to say, when hiking such distances, it is imperative that participants are in good physical condition. It is also necessary that you have prior experience with long distance hiking in similar terrain.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
