For 5 amazing days, we would like to guide you on an unforgettable hiking adventure on the 45 kilometer long Otter Trail.

Located along the coast of South Africa, the Otter Trail is the oldest hiking trail in all of South Africa. Running from the Storms River mouth to the Nature’s Valley, the trail, which opened in 1968 is truly iconic.

While not as demanding as other South African trails like the Amatola or Outeniqua, the Otter Trail still has some difficult parts. There are some steep climbs and descents, and some technical river crossings, but the trail is not overtly difficult. However, prior experience in long distance hiking is recommended, and you should be in good physical condition.

Throughout this hike, we will be stopping at and spending the night in several different, comfortable huts. Those huts include the Ngubu huts, the Scott huts, the Oakhurst huts and the Andre huts. All of these huts are quite comfortable and will provide you with a great place to rest and prepare for the following day’s hike.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
