We will walk from Imlil over the Tizi Mzik col and to a high pasture gite. Its remote location is a perfect place to stay the night and get used to our new surroundings.
From Azib Tamsoult, our next stop is the north peak of Aguelzim. After a reaching the top, we will head down to the Toubkal Refuge to prepare for the next two days.
This day is reserved for two summits over 4,000 meters. Ascending Ras and Temezguida will feature some scrambling and possibly some technical climbing, making this a true mountaineering challenge.
Our final peak of the trip is Toubkal, the highest mountain in the Atlas Mountains. After conquering this daunting and fulfilling challenge, we will return to the refuge.
We return to Imlil for lunch, and then continue back to Marrakesh to culminate an amazing trip!
Contact me upon booking to set up a meeting point.
We will be staying in Berber Gites in the villages, as well as mountain refuges when staying in the mountains.
Two (2) people are required to participate in this program to confirm a departure. Baggage transfer will be done by mule, with a possible taxi transfer on the first day. You can withdraw any necessary funds at the airport and in Marrakech; however, there are no cash withdrawal options in the mountains. I will send a list of required and suggested gear upon booking.
I am a certified International Mountain Leader and a Summer Mountain Leader (UK). In addition, I hold a Diploma in Conservation and Wildlife Management.
Originally from Great Britain, I am now based near Marrakech, in Morocco. Actually, in a Berber town at the foot of the Berber Mountains.
The love for travel runs in my veins. In the Sahara I lived with nomads. In Siberia I met reindeer herders. In Mongolia I traveled with yurt-dwellers.
The stunning landscapes and nice people of Morocco have enchanted me, which is why I now live here. My goal is sharing with my clients the exotic beauty that I've discovered here.
The environment is of extreme importance to me. In particular, I'm interested in geology and birds of prey.
Besides speaking English and French, I can get by in Berber.
My work is not limited to this area: I also do the Tour du Mont Blanc trek in the Alps.
