Benefit from our expertise and experience as climbing guides, and become a confident and capable climber upon the completion of the course.
This learning experience combines education and exhilaration in an intellectual approach.
1-day courses begin with the safe foundations of climbing. Here we cover knots, ropes, harnesses, safety checks, equipment design and limitations, and back-up systems. We will do climbs specifically suitable for beginners, and which offer the best terrain to practically learn the fundamentals of climbing.
2-day courses take what you’ve learned in the 1-day course and expands the learning experience to cover more routes, methods and techniques. These include the practical application of belaying, rappelling and anchor building.
All of these building blocks create the safe foundations for potential rock climbers. The 2-day courses also include a discussion and demonstration session about the most common mistakes that are made while climbing, which account for 80-90% of all accidents.
Graduates of the 2-day course will be able to feel confident in evaluating safety mechanisms and back-up methods, as well as enjoying a variety of climbing techniques such as friction, crack and face.
Depending on participant’s interest and level of ability, the course could take place in different locations in the Alps.
Due to this being an introductory course to rock climbing, no previous experience is necessary. However, potential climbers are expected to have a good level of fitness.

Our guide Dr Flemming was excellent. He went above and beyond what we expected. We felt very safe and well trained to practice our climbing. Location was perfect and even though rain had been forecasted, they worked with us to make sure we could climb safely.
