Description

If you've never tried glacier hiking before, this is your chance to fall in love with this amazing activity!

Glacier hiking involves progressing on a glacier using special equipment. With this 1-day tour at Dome de la Lauze, you'll learn how to walk with crampons, how to use an ice-axe and you'll practice basic glacier progression techniques.

Roped and in complete safety, you'll even get to approach crevasses and we'll cover security basics. Your eyes won't believe what they see!

We'll leave from the La Grave cable car and, from there, traverse the magnificent Glacier de la Girose. Take in the beautiful scenery while hiking on this amazing ice desert: it will be an experience you will never forget!

The Glacier de la Girose is one of the most visited glaciers in the Alps and is very popular among summer skiers. It is part of the Les 2 Alpes ski resort.

This activity is available to most people as no special skills are required. However, you do need to be in a fairly good physical condition. Dare join me on this incredible activity. I promise you won't regret it!

We had a nice trip. Unfortunately one of us fell en had to skip 1 day. The guide Olivier is very professional, knows the area well en is high skilled. Thereby he is a nice guy and wel had good talks and laughs. He brought us to some simple but very good auberges and we had lovely meals, accompanied with good wine.

The conditions were hard, a lot of wind and some cloud layers downside. Quentin managed to keep the group together and drove us trough deep powder on the lower parts of Alpe d'huez since La Grave was closed. It is an excellent guide with huge human skills ! We loved our journey with Quentin and are sure we will ride together again soon
