Discover one the most beautiful and historic places in Spain. Come with Lisi, an experienced mountain guide, on this half day guided hike around Montserrat!
Hiking is one of the most unique and fun ways to discover places. I invite you to follow me on this half day guided adventure around the historic mountain range of Montserrat!
Montserrat Natural Park is just 50 kilometers away from the exciting city of Barcelona in the north eastern region of Catalonia. This delightful mountain range is a religious landmark and natural paradise which attracts hikers, nature admirers and history lovers year round.
On this hiking program, we will start our trip from the south side of Montserrat. Additionally, if you wish, we may start by visiting the famous Salnitre Caves. Also known as the Collbató Caves, they are part of the Montserrat massif and were a great source of inspiration for renowned artists Santiago Rusiñol and Antoni Gaudí. After stopping at this stunning spot, we will continue by visiting the mysterious Santa Covel Chapel. This is a famous 17th-century sanctuary where sightings of the Virgin Mary have been reported in the past. Finally, we will continue to the famous Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey.
On our way back, we will have two options. The first is to return through the “stairs of the poor people” which will take us back to the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey. Otherwise, we may go back through the Sant Joan railway, the easiest and fastest way.
Because this is not a very difficult hike, all participants are welcome. However, keep in mind that you will need a good fitness level. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you all the way!
So are you ready for this half day guided hiking adventure in Montserrat? Then send you request! I will make sure to accommodate to your wishes and needs.
