Description

Located two hours northwest of Aspen, Colorado, Rifle Mountain is an excellent spot for all sorts of ice climbing adventures!

There are plenty of routes for first-time climbers and beginners as well as slightly more advanced climbers.

Over the course of the day, we will learn new skills and practice these techniques on modest icefalls. Depending on how you progress and your level of skill, we may even make our way up to climbing a small waterfall.

The Rifle Mountain Park is located in a box canyon and offers numerous different routes up frozen creeks and ice falls. There is plenty to do and we’ll be sure to keep busy for the entirety of our four hours together.

Along the way, we will also have the good fortune of enjoying some of the spectacular views afforded throughout the park, including the evergreen forests, canyon walls and some spectacular snow-capped mountain scenery in the distance.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
