It comes as no surprise that Hakuba is a snowboarding paradise because it is home to some of the world’s best snow. The perfect storm of precipitation, moisture, and landscape have led to relentless snowfall and premium powder, thus enshrining it as a bucket-list destination. It is one of the most sought-after locations in the Japanese Alps.
You will take advantage of these features on a memorable half-day program alongside a pro! I am currently ranked as the number one male Freeride World Qualifier in Japan and the number 46 male FWQ snowboarder in the world. I am not a guide, but I can share tips and secrets along the way. You can see how a professional shreds and which lines I select during a run. Ride with me and you will have an absolute blast on the top tier terrain of Hakuba.
We will have our hands full with alpine bowls, steep and exhilarating drops, and a wide array of optional routes. Even on a half-day, you will feel like you have been boarding for a week . The idea is to have a fun and safe time riding together in the sweet conditions of a Japanese snowboarding mecca.
This region is one of my all-time favorites. I credit it with shaping me as a snowboarder. Mountains exceeding 3,000 meters are always watching over you, so you feel part of the tapestry of the snow culture. You should be able to assess your own talents, thus making you able to determine your own riding ability and where you are at as a snowboarder.

You will need to sign a liability waiver prior to the beginning of this program. I am not a certified mountain guide, so please keep in mind that, for safety reasons, we will stay within ski resort boundaries at all times.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
