Between the Japanese Alps and the Sea of Japan, the Maiko Snow Resort features an amazing snowfall of perfect powder. Pockets of the pristine snow are found throughout the resort, along with exhilarating alpine bowls and moderate runs to satisfy every level of skier.
Not to mention your partner in crime for the program will be me, a professional Freeride World Qualifier skier! I am ranked in the top 20 in Japan, and while I’m not a certified guide, I always have a blast skiing alongside passionate athletes who enjoy the sport.
This program is a half-day experience suitable for everyone. The resort features some easier areas on one side, and more ambitious runs on the other. Best of all, it remains an uncrowded and spacious destination for snow enthusiasts. Even though is takes advantage of its close proximity to Tokyo, it still feels like a remote resort away from the bustle.
There aren’t many regions like this one. Maiko, the surrounding Japanese Alps, and the charming valleys are an enchanting objective for a great half-day of skiing. It’s a great spot to ski in and ski out of, with modern amenities to complement its mountain landscape.
You should be prepared for this program by assessing your own skills and knowing what level you can ski to. Our program will take place entirely on the resort; don’t worry, there are more than enough runs and routes to keep you smiling all day long.
Take a half-day to admire the magnificent terrain of the Maiko Snow Resort with an FWQ pro and book this Niigata ski program NOW!
If a half-day just isn’t enough, make it a day-long affair and join a full day program skiing with me! Or bring some friends and have a blast on a private half-day program!

I've been skiing for 30 years and am a SAJ (Ski Association of Japan) Ski instructor.
Between 2006 and 2014, I was a SAJ Demonstrator. Since 2013, I've been running the Maiko Ski School. In 2018, I took part in the FWQ competition at Arai and came in 6th.
I've been a local rider at Maiko Ski Resort for a long time and I know every corner of this ski area. I'll be able to teach you and give you tips on Racing, Technical skiing, Freeriding, Telemarking or snowboarding so that you're able to enjoy the mountains like never before!
I also spend some time every season in the US or Australia as a pro rider.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
