Haute Tinée guided snowshoeing tour, Mercantour

In the heart of the Mercantour National Park, discover the wild Haute Tinée Valley. Through a walk across the valley, you can admire several beautiful lakes and meadows. You will also get to see a gorgeous panoramic view of the highest summits of the region.

With 685 kilometers in length and near the Italian border in southern France, the Mercantour National Park goes through the Maritime Alps and the Alpes de Haute-Provence. It is one of the ten national parks in France and covers an area of seven valleys and 28 villages.

In the winter, the park turns into white and becomes a great place to enjoy and share with the entire family. The Haute Tinée Valley is one of the main winter sports centers in the Maritime Alps.

During this snowshoeing tour, we will explore the Millefonts Valley. We will reach the Gros Lake (2,375 meters), the highest of the glacial Millefonts Lakes. These lakes are located in the Valdeblore community. One possible variant for this tour is going through the Col Ferrière (2,484 meters) also in the Valdeblore area.

In addition, this program does not involve a technical challenge and is accessible for children too. Consider that it will take us about 4 hours and that we will must face and elevation gain of 500 meters. If needed, we can provide you with the necessary equipment.
