Rappelling down the waterfalls on the Iztaccihuatl volcano in Mexico, near Puebla

Considered one of the most iconic volcanoes in all of Mexico, Iztaccihuatl (5,230m) is a marvel to look at it. And, it is even more exciting to explore and enjoy up close, which is what you’ll get to do on this full-day, abseiling adventure.

At the beginning of this trip, we will trek through some wonderful natural trails found at the foot of the volcano. The scenery throughout this trek is nothing short of stunning. Afterwards, your guide will choose from a number of beautiful waterfalls found around Iztaccihuatl that you will get to abseil down. Some of the possible waterfalls are as high as 30 meters. Thus making the abseiling descent down the side of the falls an amazing experience.

The second abseil you will get to enjoy during this trip will be found further along the walk. During this abseil, you will get to descend a rock face on the side of the volcano.

At the end of the trip, we will go to Amecameca, where you will get to enjoy a delicious meal in the area’s lovely market.

This is not a difficult trip. In fact, children as young as 14 years old can enjoy it. However, it is important that all participants on this trip are in good physical condition.
