Description

This 9 days trek will take you into the heart of the ‘Cordillera Blanca’ of Huaraz, Perú, one of the most beautiful areas of the Andes Mountains.

In the ‘Cordillera Blanca’, impressive mountains covered with glaciers contrast with the blue sky and green valleys where local farmers work the land. The range has more than 30 peaks over 6000 mt.

Huaraz is the starting point of the journey. The city is at 3050 mt and has 120000 habitants.

We’ll start by car through the Huaylas valley, from where we’ll see some classic peaks of the ‘Cordillera Blanca’ such as Mt. Chopicalqui, Huandoy, and Huascarán, the highest peak in the region (6700 mt). After passing the villages of Caraz and Cashapampa we’ll start the trekking.

During the four days local porters and mules will assist us with the transport of tents, equipment and food.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
