1-day Laguna 69 Tour in Huaraz, Peru

Would you like to discover one of the most beautiful lagoons in Huaraz in Peru? Then join this 1-day hiking adventure to the stunning Laguna 69 which is located in the Huascarán National Park, a renowned UNESCO world heritage site in the Cordillera Blanca of the Peruvian Andes.

The Laguna 69 is one of over 400 lagoons that are located in the region. It is easy to access and offers spectacular views of the Peruvian Andes. On the way, you will also enjoy walking by a stream and coming across small waterfalls.  The lagoon is located at an altitude of 4,600 m (15,100 ft), and it will take us 12 hours to get there and back.

We will set off from Huaraz, very early in the morning. We will pick you up at 05:00 am at your hotel and begin driving through some charming Andean towns until we reach Quebrada Llanganuco where you can stop for breakfast if you wish. From there, we will pass the Llanganuco (Chinancocha and Orconcocha) lakes before reaching Cebollapampa from where we will begin our 3-hour trek.  On the way, we will enjoy views of the stunning peaks of the region (Huascarán, Huandoy, Yanapaccha, Pisco, Chacraraju). Finally, we will arrive at the lake where we will enjoy breathtaking views and then trek back down to drive back to Huaraz where we will arrive at around 6 pm.

This is an easy-going trek and everyone is welcome to join. However, you will need to be prepared to spend a few hours hiking at a relatively high altitude. Of course, we will be there to help and guide you every step of the way.
