Would you like to visit one of the most beautiful lagoons of the Cordillera Blanca, in the Peruvian Andes? Then join me in this 1-day guided hike to the amazing Lake 69 (4600 m)!

This acqua color lagoon lies at the feet of the Chacraraju mountain. Also, most hikers considere it one of the most impressive scenic day treks in the Cordillera Blanca. Besides, it is one of the more than 400 lakes of the Huascaran National Park, a Biosphere Reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will leave from the city of Huaraz to the city of Yungay, 55km to the north. Then, we will turn towards the east part of the city to the ravine of Llanganuco, for about 28 kilometres. Along our way, we will be able to appreciate two other beautiful lagoons like Chinancocha and Orconcocha.

Then, once we arrive to Cebollapampa, we will start a hike for about 3 to 4 hours to Lake 69. We will stay for almost an hour enjoying the stunning view of the lagoon. Then, we will return to to Cebollapampa and to the city of Huaraz.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about this 1-day trek to Lake 69 in Peru! I will be happy to help you! Also, if you are looking for a more challenging adventure, join me in the Nevado Huascaran 6-day trip!
