Jan, Feb, Mar, Nov, Dec
If you’re looking for a challenge then this 2-day ascent of Lanín Volcano is for you. It’s not an easy climb, but the views of Argentina, Chile and the surrounding mountains and lakes make it worth the effort. Not to mention the satisfaction you’ll get from having completed the ascent!
Lanín Volcano sits on the border of Argentina and Chile and, at 3,776 metres, is the highest mountain in the area. Climbing it is a real physical challenge that requires some mountaineering experience.
We’ll split the climb across two days. On the first day, we’ll begin our hike up the mountain. On the way, there will be different kinds of terrain, from a more gradual incline to a very steep one, with rocks, snow and ice. At 2.900 metres, we’ll set up camp for the night. It’s a pretty awesome experience to sleep on the side of a volcano in a mountain hut!
On day two we’ll start early and tackle the most difficult part of the ascent. After around six hours of climbing, we will arrive at the spectacular summit.
There will be lots of time for photos and for admiring the breathtaking views. Then, we’ll head back to the base the same way we came.
When we get back to our agency offices, you will receive a congratulatory cocktail.
This trip really is the experience of a lifetime. So, if you think you’re up for it, request to book now and we’ll be waiting for you.
If it rains while you are visiting Pucón, you should check out this awesome trip where you’ll explore glaciers and visit some hot springs.
We’ll meet at the agency at 6.30am before travelling together to the base of the mountain.
We’ll hike across rock, ice and snow until we reach around 2,000 meters of altitude. We’ll then get some rest and camp, so that we’re ready for a full day of hiking.
We’ll rise nice and early to continue hiking. This section of the trip is challenging and involves a step incline.
After around six hours we’ll arrive at our destination- the summit!
We’ll spend some time taking in the awesome views before we head all the way back down again.
The trip will finish at our travel agency as we share a celebratory drink together.
