I invite you to discover a paradise for snowshoe hikers: Lesachtal, a beautiful valley in the Austrian Alps! Join me in this guided snowshoeing week and let's enjoy the natural wonders of this amazing spot.
Lesachtal is located in the state of Carinthia, in Austria. It's a perfect region for snowshoeing, with its pure air, beautiful snow-covered forest and unspoiled winter scenery. We will also have the opportunity to go out for walks in the most beautiful East Tyrol's mountain village!
Also, we will enjoy a comfortable stay in Lesachtal at the Hotel Weiler, with excellent food, as well as its well-known buffet with delicious cakes. And at the end of an exciting snowshoeing day, we will also be able to relax at the wellness area of the hotel.
Besides, you don't need any previous experience to join this tour, nor we have any age limit. However, you should be able to walk on the snow for about 3 to 5 hours. We will ascend up to 900 metres.
The trip runs from Sunday to Saturday. We will spend a fantastic week snowshoeing among white meadows and a beautiful forest.

Mountain Guide
I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and I'm passionated about nature. I was born in 1977 and before entering in the mountain life, I worked as a teacher in Borg Lienz.
I started training as a canyoning guide 15 years ago. Since 2009, I have also trained with canyoning leaders in Carinthia. Additionally, I have been on the road as a mountain and ski instructor. During the summers, I have guided a lot in Switzerland, where I took my guests to many mountains over 4000 meters high. My “motto” in the mountains and in life has always been the same: “Never stop exploring”
I work now for Carnicoalpin where our main objective is leading and accompanying you on steep mountains and great ski slopes with a particular focus set on safety.
