Join me in this great 1-day trek to Llanganuco Lakes (3850 m) in the Cordillera Blanca, in the Peruvian Andes! We will enjoy a great day hike to Chinancocha and Orconcocha, two beautiful lagoons.
The Llanganuco Lakes are located to the east of Yungay city, in the Ancash Region. They are part of Huascaran National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This park includes most of the Cordillera Blanca, the world's highest tropical mountain range. Also, it's part of the central Andes.
We will meet in the city of Huaraz. Then, we will travel to Yungay. From there, we have a one hour trip by bus to our trek starting point.
The Chinancocha Lake or "female lagoon" is at the foot of the impressive Huascaran mountain (6768 m). Besides, it has an intense turquoise green color and beautiful quenuales forests on its shores. It is located to the southwest of Lake Orconcocha.
Then, we will continue our hike to Orconcocha, "the male lake". We find this lagoon at the end of the Llanganuco valley. Also, its waters are of a beautiful sky-blue color. It lies 1 kilometre away from Chinancocha.
We can do this trek any time of the year. So contact me if you want to join me! I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about this Llanganuco Lakes trek. Also, if you want to explore an amazing mountain, join me in my Nevado Pisco 3-day climbing expedition.

In 2003 I started as enthusiast to climbing in rock next to my brother Eloy. In 2009 i obtained the title as ''official guide of high mountain'', i also ranks first in his class.
I enjoys doing sports climbing and opening new avenues in the cordillera Blanca, and in other countries. My wide experience has meant that he has climbed most of the mountains in cordillera blanca.
