Mgoun is not only an extraordinary destination for hiking, but it is also an unique opportunity to find the mysteries of a different culture, a non occidental food and a landscape that mixes aridity with green oasis. All this and much more can be found in the marvelous mountain range of High Atlas, in Morocco.

The hiking trails of Mgoun and Mount Toubkal are suitable for all levels and technical skills. It consists in a 6-day guided tour that includes the following features:

• Local cooks that will make you taste very exotic flavors

• Mountain huts and rural houses

• The help of mules

• A complete mountain guide service

• All transfers from and to Marrakech

During these 6 days we will have a prudent time to acclimate our bodies and make this adventure nicer. Then, I’ll give you the details of an estimate itinerary. Remember I can plan a personalized trip according to your own wishes:

DAY 1

A taxi will take us from Marrakech to Agouti. We will walk for 2 hours up to Azib Ikkis. Spend the night in a rural house.

DAY 2

Day of intensive hike (6 to 7 hours) until we get to Tarkeddit hut.

DAY 3

This day will be dedicated to acclimatization and rest. We can visit Tizi Iquadol Pass at 3.640 meters or Wandras gorge.

DAY 4

It will be a very important day because we will ascent for about 8 – 10 hours to the Mgoun Summit at 4.068 meters of height.

DAY 5

Walk from the Tarkeddit hut to Agouti during 8 or 9 hours.

DAY 6

Last day. A 5-hour drive again towards Marrakech.
