Description

There is an abundance of spectacular peaks in the Pennine Alps of Switzerland, and Mont Gele (3,022m) is one of the best. This beautiful mountain in the famed Canton of Valais is not only a great climb, but is also a popular peak for skiing as well.

The summit of this peak is the convergence point of 3 different amazing valleys. They include Bagnes, Riddes and Nendaz. Mont Gele also overlooks the picturesque village of Verbier.

The 2 day climb to the summit of Mont Gele is a comfortable, easy ascent. It is ideal for beginners who are looking to utilise the basics of mountaineering. However, it is also a great source of practice for more seasoned climbers looking to refine their already existing abilities. Regardless of your skill level, Mont Gele is a worthwhile climb.

The first day of the trip will see us leaving from Valpelline Bionaz to the refuge of Crete Seche. We will be walking for approximately 2 to 3 hours. On the second day of the trip, we will Ascend Mont Gele. The scenic and not too demanding climb will take approximately 6 to 8 hours to reach the snow capped summit and head back down.

If you are looking for a mountain in the Alps to climb, but don't have enough experience to tackle the most famous peaks, then this 2 day ascent of Mont Gele is perfect for you. Send me a message if you want to join me on this trip.

I can also guide you on a 2 day, easy climb that will see you reach the summits of not 1, but 2 peaks in the Alps, Punta Kurz and Mont Brule.
