Come and enjoy a one day hiking in the Montserrat Monastery. It is a stunning massive rock conglomerate at 1,236 meters of height, with weird shapes, paths, caves, hermitages and unique landscapes.
We will traverse the astounding massif from west to east until the Montserrat monastery that is 15 km long, gaining an elevation of 955 vertical meters and losing then about 985 meters.
We will venture ourselves into rough paths, scrambling short sections and climbing up and down rock slabs. After about five hours, we will reach the highest point of the day: Sant Jeroni (1236 m) from where we’ll enjoy the magnificent views that the mountain offers. From that point, we’ll go down to the Montserrat Benedictine monastery, with 1.000 years of history.
This traverse requires good physical fitness. It is suitable for advanced hikers but could be really tough for beginners. There’s no fountain along the trip, so we have to carry all the water that we’ll need.
So if you are an experienced hiker looking for a great challenge in Montserrat , this is an adventure that you can’t miss. Send your request!

I've been walking around the mountains my whole life. I'm geologist, mountain leader and I've completed a university postgraduate course on spiritual meanings and values of nature by the university of Girona. I climb from 1981 and I love to travel and know the countries from their mountains.
My idea of guiding is to make comprehensible the landscape and its natural, cultural, historical, ethnological or spiritual heritage. And, of course, to help to enjoy the trip and make it safe!
I'm living in Tarragona, Catalonia, and my specialty is Montserrat, near Barcelona.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
