Description

There are a number of wonderful peaks to scale throughout Alaska. And Mount Bona (5,040m) is definitely at, or near the top of the list. This incredible stratovolcano is one of the highest volcanoes in all of North America, sitting comfortably at number 4.

It is our goal over the course of 12 days for you not to only reach the summit of Mount Bona, but to have an unforgettable experience during the ascent. With that goal in mind, we will see to it that you enjoy the climb every step of the way. We will also make sure you are given ample time to rest and acclimatize, so you can enjoy the ascent safely as well.

Just a few of the amazing sights you will get to see on this ascent include the Klutlan glacier (3,200m), Mount Logan (6,050m), the neighbouring Mount Churchill (4,766m) and Mount St. Elias (5,488m). Furthermore, not only from the summit, but at the various camps we will be spending our nights, you will also get to admire the gorgeous scenery of the Wrangell – St. Elias National Park and Preserve. This spectacular natural reserve is as enormous as it is gorgeous. It is over 53,000 square kilometres of pure natural wonder, and from the summit of Mount Bona, you will get to see a great deal of it!

While Mount Bona is a gorgeous peak, and a great one to climb, it is also a very challenging mountain to scale. As a result, participants should have previous mountaineering experience, and be in good physical condition.

If you are looking for a true Alaskan adventure in a place that will show just how beautiful Alaska really is, this is definitely the trip for you. So send us a request, and let us guide you to the top of largest volcano in the United States.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Nate was very knowledgeable and got me to the top of mountain. He’s not as engaging as most of the guides I’ve had over the years. I’ve learned a lot about most of my climbs as guides talk about the mountain and the area maybe even plant and animals and I enjoy getting to know them better. We did talk a bit more on the way out of the trailhead. All in all a good experience. But not sure your company told him I had a knee replacement and would be slow.
