Description

Situated just 80 kilometers west of Mexico City, Nevado de Toluca towers above the horizon.

From the crater near the top of Mexico's fourth tallest volcano, we will spend the day cycling for nearly 100 kilometers until we reach the idyllic little town of Valle de Bravo.

Our day starts first thing in the morning, with a descent down the slopes of the mountains. We will have some great views at first until we plunge into the thick green forest and race down well-maintained dirt tracks until we reach the valley floor.

Once at the valley floor, we will continue cycling through forests and the picturesque Mexican countryside until we reach a river. This is one of the most exciting parts of the journey, as we ford the river on our bicycle to reach the other side.

After this, we'll continue cycling for a little bit longer until we reach Valle de Bravo and enjoy a well-earned lunch of authentic local cuisine.

There's a lot of ground to cover on this trip today, so we recommend all participants to have a fairly high level of physical fitness.
