Description

Join me in this 5-day trekking and mountaineering program in the Canadian Rockies, in Banff National Park area. In particular, we will go around Lake Louise.

I propose this expedition for people that have some time to introduce them to the Rockies (5 days – 4 nights). I do this trip in spring, summer and fall. In fact, it is well suited for a beginner to intermediate skill base. Our base is the Bow Hut on the Banff National Park Wapta Icefields.

This expedition is geared for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a high alpine glaciated skill building adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1: Scramble up a local peak

The expedition will kick off with a meet and greet with the guests at the Lake Louise Alpine Centre. Waivers will be handed out and signed, organization of gear, any question/concerns discussed. To kick things off we’ll start with a light scramble up a local peak. Day 1 accommodations at the Alpine Centre.

Day 2: Bow Hut

2-3 hours hike up to Bow Hut and afternoon mountain skills session.

Day 3 to 4: Climbing days

Climbing days, 1-2 High Mountain glaciated peaks.

Day 5: Return

Wrap up and hike out.

Pre and or post trip accommodations can be arranged at an additional cost. Please note that a minimum of 30 days prior to trip start date is required for pre/post trip accommodation arrangements.
