Highlights

This week in Narvik, Norway has it all. We’ll go heli-skiing, ski touring and off-piste skiing on the most amazing, pristine backcountry terrain by the Norwegian fjords.

If you’ve always dreamed of a ski touring week in Norway, don’t miss out on this opportunity. Bring friends or family along for a magical 6 days in the most amazing winter wonderland.

During the week, we’ll do one day of heli-skiing. We plan it so that we take advantage of the helicopter-time (the price includes 1 hour). It will be a memorable day!

We will also go freeride skiing from Narvik’s lifts. The stunning fjords and the views of the ocean will make for a truly complete experience. And additionally, we also have 2 or 3 ski touring days planned. We’ll choose the best itineraries depending on the conditions. We generally plan trips to the summits around the Narvik area fjords.

We will be staying in Trollviken Lodge, which is owned and operated by my partner and I. You’ll understand as soon as you get here why we chose to live here! The scenery is out-of-this-world! Additionally, you can reach hundreds of summits as ski touring day tours, you can go heliskiing and, if the conditions are right, we can go to Lofoten for a day tour.

Sounds like a fun week in Narvik, Norway? It is! Contact me now and you’ll spend an unforgettable week in the most fantastic surroundings.

    Itinerary

    • Day 1ARRIVAL

      Meeting and equipment check

    • Day 2SKI TOURING

Weather and wind will help us decide where to go, but the goal is to do an alpine tour with around 700-800 vertical meters. If we do Melkefjell, Spanstind or Rivtind we get views of the ocean as a bonus. We’ll be home in time for a sauna before dinner.

    • Day 3OFF-PISTE SKIING IN NARVIK

We rely on the lifts in Narviksfjellet. We could also hike for a bit. Spectacular views over the fjords and the Atlantic Ocean.

    • Day 4HELI-SKIING

We will have a nice full day of heli-skiing, where we will have an hour of helicopter time for ourselves. It may not sound like much but with our experienced mountain guides and pilots, it means a day of at least five thousand vertical meters of skiing. To have your own helicopter makes finding good powder much easier.

    • Day 5SKI TOURING

We go to climb and ski a favourite in Gratangen. We start in the nice village Foldvik and climb up Nonsfjellet. From the sea to the summit!

    • Day 6SKI TOURING

On this day we will go to Rombakstøtta. This impressive mountain above the Rombak fjord has one of the most magnificent views imaginable. Here, we will probably need to use crampons and ice axes close to the summit. If there are good conditions further out on Lofoten we will make a skitouring day trip out there.

    • Day 7SKI TOURING OR OFF-PISTE SKIING

Narvik lifts are classic ski terrain with lots of off-piste opportunities.

    • Day 8DEPARTURE DAY

Transfer to the airport for return flight.

    About the Guide

I have climbed and skied all my life but started working as a guide in 2009. I became a fully-qualified IFMGA guide in 2012. I'm based in Herjangen (just north of Narvik in Ofoten, Nordland, Norway) and have been skiing in this area for over two decades. I guide all over the world but prefer to be home in Trollviken! My goal is to share my knowledge and my love for these mountains to increase your skills. I used to be an investment banking executive but I'm a lot better now!
