Description

Join me for an incredible 4-day ski touring trip to traverse the snowy mountains starting from Niseko, in Hokkaido, and enjoy the fine snow of this great Japanese region!

Lying near Mount Yotei (an active volcano similar to Mount Fuji), 50 kilometers away from the city of Sapporo, Niseko is the most famous ski resort in Japan. Its abundant powder snow makes it a top winter destination among skiers from all over the world.

In fact, it has slopes suitable for all levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers. Its terrain also allows all kinds of sports, like ski touring, splitboarding and backcountry skiing.

During this exciting 4-day trip I’ll take you to a trip that connects Annupuri Ski Resort in Niseko and Mount Raiden (1211 m) by the sea.

You’ll also be able to enjoy taking a dip in a hot spring (Onsen) and relax after skiing. Furthermore, you’ll be having delicious local food for dinner every day. That way, you’ll be ready to ski the following day!

Please contact me if you want to come with me for a ski touring trip in Hokkaido! Below, you can find an itinerary for further details.

We had a brilliant couple of days with Jun. At a difficult time in not the best season for Hokkaido, Jun was able to sniff out unexpected powder stashes and we skied some great snow! Really nice guy as well!

Jun is an outstanding guide, a true expert in his field. He was attentive to our needs and desires and very ably provided us with a fantastic experience skiing in the Asahikawa area backcountry. I will book other trips with him and highly recommend him to others!

Jun did an incredible job guiding us through Daisetsuzan National Park. He was attentive, friendly and courteous. His knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and landscape was superb (that rock garden in particular left a deep impression on me). His cooking was superb. And, we felt like we experienced aspects of the Japanese outdoors and culture that are very hard to reach. Andy and I had a phenomenal time.

Jun was a very safe and knowledgeable guide for our one day skiing trip for Yotei. He knew lots about the snowpack and the local wildlife and trees. We felt safe the entire time and really appreciated the pace he went at. Would recommend!
