Join me for an extraordinary and unique ski experience. An extense road trip (2800km) looping through Patagonia in Argentina and Chile, in the Andes range. We will travel stopping at 4 ski resorts. In addition, we will visit active volcanos. And of course we will enjoy amazing off-piste ski itineraries, some of the most beautiful in the world.
I organized this tour for you to live an intense experience. We start at the Pampa and move to the Patagonian volcanoes. Then we find ourselves in the Central Cordillera, and it's time for ski touring and off-piste ski adventures. Throughout the trip, we stop in mountain villages, where staying in a local lodge allows for a true image of the local lifestyle.
I will adapt the daily program according to your skills and mood.
A unique trip… as you can read! I have been in Patagonia already several times and I can tell you that this is something you can't miss if you love ski touring, off piste skiing, beautiful sceneries, good meat, awesome wine, places where nobody goes… If you are interested, I suggest you to contact me, I can then discuss with you all the details.
If you want to stay in one country, I also offer options. I can take you ski touring in Argentina or Chile!
Arrival in Buenos Aires in the morning. Connection flight to San Rafael at 1PM. Welcome meeting at San Rafael airport and minibus ride to Las Leñas. Verification of the individual equipment and distribution of the group equipment when needed. I will also organise a beacon (ARVA) training. Dinner and night at the hotel.
General safety briefing and acclimatisation while exploring Las Leñas – the freeride paradise. Night in hotel Aries.
From the top of Marte chair lift at Las Leñas, we’ll make the short climb to reach the top of Cerro Martin and enjoy this magnificent couloir. Night in hotel Aries.
When we reach the top of this stunning ridge, your 3 hours of skinning are rewarded with an incredible descent. 800 meters of climbing yields 1600 meters of descending; the ratios don’t get better than that! Night in hotel Aries.
A road trip day across magnificent volcanic landscapes, following the Andes southward on Ruta 40. Spend the night in San Martin, Argentina at the Anay Hotel.
A very memorable ski day at Chapelco, riding the strange lichen forest of this classic Patagonian ski resort. Spend the night in San Martin.
Another road trip, this time a 3-hour ride across the Argentinian border to Pucon, Chile, surrounded by Patagonian volcanoes like the 3800-meter Lanin. A refreshing stop en route at the natural hot spring of Los Pozones, and then we spend the night in Pucon at the Geronimo hotel.
A ski touring day as we skin up from the top of the ski resort and to the crater of this active volcano. A 1400 meter ascent through the volcanic backcountry nets 1600 meters of skiing. Go figure! Spend the night in Pucon.
Reserve day to actually climb the Volcano Villarica. Afterwards, we’ll recuperate at the Termas Geothermicas, a beautiful natural hot spring in a magnificent canyon. Spend the night in Pucon.
Back on the road for a 5-hour ride to reach Termas de Chillan. Spend the night at the MI Lodge.
Discover the off-piste potential of Termas, and then relax at the hotel Spa. Spend the night at the MI Lodge.
Options abound today: A short skinning approach to discover an unbelievable valley and enjoy the hot water of the river. Spend the night at the MI Lodge.
Approach to the volcano using snowmobile and skin and/or hike to the crater. You’ll remember this descend of 1500 vertical meters forever! Last night at MI Lodge.
Back on the road again, this time for the 7-hour trip through some of the agricultural centers of Chile, back to Santiago. Spend the night at Santiago at Los Españoles hotel.
You’ll sleep soundly on the flight home, as memories of deep snow and big mountains fill your head.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
