Snuggled between Tyrol and Vorarlberg lies the Arlberg massif, accompanied by some of the best snow conditions in the Alps and Europe. The surrounding communities of Arlberg – which include St. Anton am Arlberg, Lech, Stuben, and Zurs – are all dedicated to winter sports and activities.

For experienced riders, the landscape offers uniquely high-quality backcountry powder. For extended splitboarding tours and any snowboarding off the beaten path, this is essential for smooth, enjoyable runs. St. Anton am Arlberg has one of the best off-piste resorts in Austria, and this program is made specifically for you to experience that!

Because of the area´s popularity, going off-piste will allow you to shred in peace. I will guide you on the hidden gems of the area, including classic tree runs and open landscapes for touring. The immensity of the vast area will never run out of fresh, deep snow. The Arlberg culture will make you feel like coming back the next day. And maybe the next one, too.

Safety is one of my biggest priorities, and I will ensure we have a safe and satisfying program at all times. I know Arlberg extremely well, and we will always be searching for the best conditions to board and tour. You will feel like a local by the end of the day, and we will certainly have a lot of fun.

This program is great for intermediate boarders, and a reasonable level of fitness is required for the trip. It will be my pleasure to guide you to achieving your goals, and to help you acquire new skills and abilities while out in the snow.

Mountain Guide

I was born in 1969. Ever since a teenager, everything for me was about skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Years later, I thought it was time to take my passion to the next level. After receiving a technical education in engineering, I became an IFGMA Mountain and Skiguide. I completed this certification in 2000.

Working and living in St. Anton am Arlberg, in the very heart of Austria, is a privilege to me. In particular, because here is where my favorite off piste skiing resort in the Alps is. Also, traveling to other countries and corners of the world helped me enhance my experience as a guide. Over the years, I have climbed and skied in amazing places like the Alps, Norway, Turkey, Greece, Iceland, Argentina and Chile. During the summer, between June and September, you will find me at my favorite spot: beautiful Chamonix, in the French Alps.

My guiding experience and expertise include classic mountaineering, rockclimbing, ice climbing, off piste skiing and skitouring. Contact me for more information on any of my trips. As a professional guide, my main goal will always be your safety; and my biggest reward, a big smile on the face of my guests after a perfect powder day in the mountains.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
