There is so much to see and explore in the Ardennes of Belgium, and on this particular trip, I would like to help you enjoy 6 full days that will take you on a loop from La Roche and back, and take you through the gorgeous Ourthe valley.

This is a self-guided tour. That means you will be given all of the instructions necessary, including maps and other important information for you to explore the Ourthe valley on your own. This is perfect for people who don’t necessarily like to follow strict itineraries but prefer to explore at their own pace, to see, stop and move on as they please.

On this 6 day hiking trip, there is no shortage of great natural spots to see and admire, including plateaus, forests and valleys. There are also other highlights that include the Nettle natural reserve and the Nisramond dam. Throughout the trip, you will also get to trek through a number of wonderful hamlets and villages as well. Some examples of those villages include the following.

  • Hives
  • Lavaux
  • Laneuville
  • Givry
  • Lavacherie

  • Laval
  • Flamisoul
  • Nadrin

Along with the town of La Roche, which is a great place to explore, and even has a castle, this trip has everything an enthusiastic hiker could want. And with comfortable accommodations awaiting you every night, I have no doubt you will have a fantastic experience.

If this kind of self-guided hiking trip sounds like something you would like to enjoy, just send me a request. I know you’ll have a great time exploring the Ourthe valley.
