Description

In Tourrettes-sur-Loup, a French commune in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, we’ll find Pic de Courmettes, a lovely peak with an altitude of 1,248 meters. Situated in the Préalpes d’Azur Regional Natural Park, its hiking trail will lead us to one of the best panoramic views in the area. Follow me on this 1-day hike and discover the incredible sceneries of the French Riviera with me!

Our hike will start in the commune of Cormes and we’ll cross a beautiful path surrounded by ancient oak trees. Once at the top, we’ll catch amazing sights of the French Riviera. We’ll get to see from Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat to Cap Camarat, and maybe even Corsica. I’m sure it’ll be a landscape that you’ll never forget!

As for the requirements, this program is not too demanding. We’ll face an elevation gain of 600 meters and reach an altitude of 1,200 meters. So keep in mind it’s important to have a good level of fitness.

I booked a tour with Fabrice on late May, definitely the highlight of my holiday, we went on a hike around Casterino It was a relaxed hike with great sights of mountain forests and lakes, I got to see some of the local fauna and flora of the park, ibex, marmots, chamois, although not as much as they would be in the area, possibly because of the wolfs (we saw some footprints). Overall it is a great way to see the surroundings. I would definitely recommend Fabrice as a guide for your next hike!
