Spanish Pyrenees ski touring day trips (+2000m)

The Benasque Valley is an ideal destination for a ski touring adventure away from the crowds. I invite you to join me for day trips and climb peaks above 2000 meters high. Lying in the highest part of the Spanish Pyrenees, in the Huesca province, Aragon, you will find great terrain with large open spaces, offering great descents.

The diversity of routes around the Benasque Valley make it a favorite destination for ski mountaineers each winter.  We can plan a day tour suitable to your level and preferences. Some of the peaks we may ski are Sacroux (2676m) and Estiba Freda (2697 m).

The Benasque Valley is considered one of the most beautiful valleys of the Pyrenees. It has preserved its typical traditions and you will find exquisite local cuisine as well.

This is a great opportunity to explore the mountains of the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta, with peaks ranging from 1500m to over 3400 metres. Mount Aneto is the highest mountain in the area at 3404 metres.

Please note you need to be in good physical condition and to have previous experience skiing out of the tracks, with at least an intermediate skill level.
