Are you looking for a totally different snowboarding experience? Then let’s spend a full day in Myoko, a popular winter sports destination in Japan!

Myoko, in Niigata Prefecture, is surrounded by the Five Peaks of Northern Shinano (Madarao, Myōkō, Kurohime, Togakushi and Iizuna). With one of the highest annual snowfalls in all of Japan, this region is a perfect destination for winter sports adventures.

This region boasts many resorts with distinctive features. Most of them offer off piste spots within the ski area boundaries, so powder descents are guaranteed. As an FWQ snowboarder and one of the best snowboarders in my country (ranked 2nd), I can assure you that we will explore amazing terrain!

The goal of our day-trip is to share some descents and spend a great time in the mountain. I am not an instructor, but you will have the chance to see my movements first-hand. Additionally, I can give you some tips to improve your riding!

First time snowboarding at a new mountain can be a little intimidating now multiply that feeling when you are doing it in a different country. That was not the case here, Go Biyajima made me feel like I was riding in my back yard. Go is an excellent rider and really made me feel like it was just another day on the mountain riding with homies. I hope this service gets to reach more people and they would be lucky to select Go Biyajima!
