Description

A series of picturesque rocky cliffs surround Lake Annecy in the heart of the French Alps.

Boasting dozens of routes, these high-quality rock walls are the perfect spot to learn new and hone existing rock climbing skills.

After meeting up in the morning, we will head out to any of the numerous different climbing sites in the area. Among the most popular spots are Puisots, Grande Jeanne, Biclope and Bluffy.

Once we have checked out all of our gear, the fun really begins as we get out onto those rock walls. Over the course of the half-day together, expect to learn basic insurance and downhill roping technique, technical movements on the rock, abseiling and proper use of equipment and rope.

Regardless of where we go to climb, expect phenomenal views out over Lake Annecy as well as into the rest of the Annecy Basin.

Mountain Guide

After living for 20 years in the south Alps I moved in Annecy, here I like to be close to many world famous ski resorts... La Clusaz, Chamonix, Megève, Flaine.

In winter I like to find the best ski conditions according to my guest level and the mountains conditions. I also enjoy crossing to Italia for a good powder session or climbing an icefall.

In summer I am guiding around Chamonix but also rockclimbing and canyoning.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
