Description

This is a special opportunity to spend 15 days discovering the astounding beauty of the Himalayas, even if you don’t have previous trekking experience.

You’ll cross glaciers, pretty meadows and enjoy amazing views of the Karakoram Mountains from Rush Lake.

This expedition starts and finishes in Islamabad. On the first day we’ll drive to Besham, then on the second day make our way to Gilgit, the capital of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. On the third day we’ll get to know the historic entrance to the town and the suspension bridge. The fourth day is spent crossing the Hoper Glacier and trekking along the lateral moraine until arriving at Shiskin. Day five we’ll cross the Barpu Glacier, then on the sixth day we’ll walk from Barpu Giram to Rush Lake, where we can see tall mountains such as Lupghar, Momhil, and Bullarang.

On the seventh day we’ll stay at Rush Lake to continue to enjoy the scenery and do a bit of hiking in the area. The next week, as we slowly make our way back towards Islamabad, we’ll discover many more beautiful places including the Miar Glacier, the cozy village of Gulmit, and the town of Besham.
