Explore Switzerland in a unique and exclusive way. Stay away from the ski resort crowds, or the noises of the bigger cities and venture into the wild. Follow me on this Saint Bernard trek, departing from Verbier, deep into the Swiss Alps.
Let us discover the wilderness of the Alps on this private trip. And what a better location than the Grand Saint Bernard. Its name came from the mythical rescue dog that inhabits these lands, as well as a 1,000 years old hospice, right at the top of its mountain pass. This incredible place lies between two colossals: Mont Blanc (4,807 m) and Grand Combin, overlooking the Alps in Valais.
The path we’ll follow will take us across rugged mountain territory, along the Italian/Swiss border. Also, we’ll cross 6 dazzling valleys, several mountain passes, meadows and a nature reserve. And of course, everything surrounded by the best views of the Alps. Furthermore, we’ll get to visit the Grand Saint-Bernard hospice, which holds a great historical significance.
Some of the spots we can explore include Bourg-St-pierre, Col des Chevaux, Col du Grand St-Bernard, Col Ferret, Combe de L’A Nature Reserve and Dranse. Then, we’ll cross mountain passes such as the Malatra pass and the Basset pass. We’ll tackle mountains like Mont Rogneux, visit charming towns like Liddes. And of course, we’ll stay at comfortable mountain huts such as the Bonatti Refuge, Mille Mountain Hut and Cabane de Mille.
So don’t let this opportunity escape. Enjoy Switzerland like you’ve never done before. Send me a request and let me guide you across this swiss trekking.
There’s also this 1+ day Canyoning in Valais and Ticino, Switzerland, that we guide as well.
