Description

Saribung (6346m) is a stunning peak lying in the spectacular and remote Mustang region, in the Damodar Himal in Nepal, right at the border with Tibet. Join us on this 26-day mountaineering expedition and climb this beautiful mountain, while you discover the wonderful and unique Tibetan culture.

Mustang offers probably some of the most amazing scenery in Nepal and it is is considered a hidden paradise, with some of the best-preserved examples of Tibetan culture and traditions in the world.

The Damodar Saribung expedition takes us north of Mustang, a place rarely visited by westerners. Only a few tourists visit this area and few climbers have climbed Saribung, mostly because of its remote location and due to lack of information about the area and the mountain. Today this expedition is becoming more popular, and although it is challenging, it requires no technical experience.

After meeting in Kathmandu and enjoying some sightseeing in the vibrant and caothic capital city of Nepal, we will drive to the city of Pokhara, in the Annapurna region. From there, we will take a flight to Jomson, where the real adventure begins with a trek to Kagbeni.

During this unforgettable traverse, we will cross many high passes, including Saribung La (5600m). We will visit the wonderful Nar Phu Valley, where Tibetan culture thrives in monasteries and small villages, and the mythical city of Lo Manthang. You can check the day-by-day itinerary below.

You will be amazed during this unforgettable traverse by the stunning rugged and glaciated landscape, dry terrain and the solitude of this region. This journey is a must for those who love photography, a great opportunity to appreciate the grandeur of the impressive high Himalayan plateaus.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore the unique Mustang region. Send us a request and climb to the summit of Saribung in the spectacular Nepales Himalayas. You could also check our 52-day expedition to Mount Nuptse, or our 53 day adventure to the summit of Everest!
