Description

The Sierra de Guara, located in an enormous national park that bears the same name, is an amazing place. It is full of natural beauty that will leave you breathless. And because of its considerable size, it requires a great deal of time to see it all. Thus why I believe 7 days is the perfect amount of time to really take in and appreciate the surroundings.

Situated in the Spanish Pyrenees mountains, the Sierra de Guara is a gorgeous massif. It is also located in the region of Aragon in the province of Huesca. The region from which the massif can be found is a fascinating place, and one well worth several more days of exploration on its own.

Throughout this trip, I will lead you on a long hike along several different routes in the Sierra de Guara. Every day you will see something different, from cave paintings and lush fauna to abandoned villages. There is also the highest point in the massif, the Tozal de Guara (2,077m). There are also several beautiful rivers that run through some truly breathtaking gorges. Some of those rivers include the Rio Vero, the Rio Isuala, Rio Guatizalema and the Rio Alcanadre. Along with the array of rivers, there are also several stunning canyons and a vast collection of wildlife, from wild goats to large birds of prey.

Hiking through the Sierra de Guara is a truly unique adventure. And every night, we will rest in a comfortable hotel, so you can regain your energy for the following day’s hike.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
