This program is for one-day-trips of backcountry skiing in the beautiful mountains that surround El Chaltén, in Patagonia, Argentina.
This program is ideal for people who would like to ski in one of the mountains of the region, or for those who have a couple of days and want to combine a couple of these one-day options for a customized itinerary. If you are interested in a one-week program, you can check this option.
Some of the alternatives we can explore are Cerro Vespignani, Laguna de Los Tres and Loma del Diablo. For any of these, you need previous off-piste experience and a good fitness level.

Mountain Guide
Certified UIAGM-IFMGA Mountain Guide from Argentina.
I live in El Chaltén since 1998. I'm originally from Bariloche and I started with mountain activities when I was 15 years old. I've done climbing and ascents in many mountains of Patagonia, Perú, Bolivia, United States and Europe; such as Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Alpamayo, El Capitán, Mont Blanc and Aconcagua among others. I'm also a Ski Instructor and I am passionate for backcountry ski.
I speak fluent English, Italian and French and have been leading trips and expeditions for more than 20 years. I work together with a group of guides, so if I'm not available for the trip you request, one of my colleagues will guide you!

My guide, Max, and the owner of the guide company, Merlin, we both excellent. The tours we did were well-matched to my expectations and experience and Max was very knowledgeable (he taught me quite a few technique tweaks that we're helpful). Would highly recommend these guys!

Juan was a great guide especially for beginners looking to rock climb outdoors!

Pedro was an absolutely amazing guide - our hike would not have been nearly as good without him. We also were able to hike halfway with Hachi, a local celebrity dog who keeps sneaking into the park, because he helped the camp ranger take him down. Definitely a highlight that’ll we always remember! Highly recommend!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
