Join Luciano, IFMGA mountain guide, for this 4-day ski touring trip around Frey Hut, one of the best winter spots in Bariloche.
Ski touring around Frey Hut in Bariloche, Argentina, is one of the best winter activities to do in Patagonia. Join me for an exciting 4-day trip!
Frey Hut is one of the most important mountain huts in Cerro Catedral.
It is surrounded by narrow peaks full of snow and limestone walls. The quality of the slopes, the easy access, and also the comfortable lodging and logistic possibilities, make this a great trip!
This area offers different options for all kinds of skiers! The ideal program that I propose is 4 days / 3 nights, enjoying all the alternatives that this place gives us, and sleeping on the hut, at the shore of the frozen lake Toncek.
Nevertheless, we can also adapt the itinerary according to the time you are staying and your fitness level. For example, we can consider programs of 3 days / 2 nights or 2 days / 1 night.
For this trip, you need some previous ski touring and off-piste skiing experience, as well as a good fitness level.
