Experience the thrill of a remote ski trip and take an adventure to Narvik in northern Norway on a three-day ski touring program! With the Scandinavian Mountains as your playground, admire the fjords and glaciers that make this hidden European destination so magical!
Located at the northernmost part of Nordland, Narvik has played a strategic role in a variety of ways. There have been settlements in the area for a long time, with many rock carvings in the area dating back to at least the late Stone Age period, but the city of Narvik itself is actually just a little more than 100 years old. Through the years it has served as a port for the transportation of iron ore from Swedish mines, though it has developed into an adventure hub for winter sports enthusiasts who want to explore the unique, captivating, and never-ending beauty of its landscape.
This ski touring program does just that, immersing you for three days in the dream-like snow conditions inside the Arctic Circle. With Narvik Mountain Lodge as our home base just above the city, we will head off into the untouched snow. Our program features tree skiing, deep valleys, shore-to-peak runs, and so much more. There is an eclectic mix of possible routes and lines for us to take, plenty of options to keep us occupied for the entire three days.
Narvik is renowned in the skiing community for both its resorts and its accommodating landscape. Storied athletes have trained on these slopes, along with a series of competitions and events to show off the world-class conditions. Common objectives include steep couloirs, high and open runs, glacier traverses, and high-quality tree skiing. There is definitely something for everyone on this program!
Our stay at Narvik Mountain Lodge will enhance our experience. Meals will be included, and we can ski in and out into whichever adventure we decide to take for the day. The location even allows ambitious ski touring groups to head into Sweden’s Lapland for plateau skiing on the inland mountains.
I am passionate about providing a safe and satisfying environment for my programs. You should have a general fitness level and enough experience and awareness to handle three days in Norwegian backcountry. Avalanche safety is a top priority, and weather can change in an instant. As long as you are prepared and ready, this will certainly go down as one of the best ski trips of your life!
Are you ready? Then book the ski touring program you have always wanted NOW and experience the exhilarating Arctic terrain of Narvik and the diverse Norwegian landscape!
We can always extend our Narvik trip and make this jaw-dropping ski touring program last five days!
We will be staying at the Narvik Mountain Lodge, which will include breakfasts, two-course dinners, and pack-out lunches.

I was born and raised in the town of Narvik in northern Norway. As the case has been with generations of norwegians, my parents took me with them on trips into nature and up on the mountains even before I was able to walk by myself. When I was able to stand up, my father bought me my first pair of slalom skis and we went skiing in the slopes on the local resorts. From there, the love of nature and the mountains has continuously grown and eventually evolved into a wish to bring others and let them experience and explore together with me.
Today nature and the mountains are my "office", where I work all year round with guiding, as an instructor and tutor on different courses and as an observer for the avalanche forecasting service. Over the years I have worked and guided all over Norway, but it is the north that is home and here I spent most of my time. So come with me into nature and up on the mountains and explore the wild nature of northern Norway. Skitours in Narvik and Lyngen or climbs to Norway's national mountain of Stetind are just some of the adventures I can offer you, but the mountains up here in the north are almost limitless in abundance and possibilities.
I completely missed this trip by one month due to my fault but exacerbated by your booking system. I must have filled in the booking form about 10 times before the dates were \'correct\' and I was not being charged for more than one day. Every time I tried to make changes, the form refreshed and all the details had to be filled in again. These sorts of trips/events are not like booking train tickets. Most include a window of opportunity that is heavily influenced by weather events. Your communication flow requires a booking to be made and paid before there is any connection with the guide or discussion about suitable days etc. I realise that your company is a booking agency that is concerned about introducing two parties but missing out on the management fee however I feel the system requires a more nuanced approach.

My sister and I did a day of ski touring in Narvik with Marius. It was such a great day. We left he Gratangen hotel at 9am and returned at 4pm. The mountain was only 15min from the hotel and was the perfect one day adventure. The snow quality was awesome, it was good weather and we had the entire mountain to ourselves. Marius tailored the trip to our ski level perfectly and was very patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend guided ski touring in Narvik with Marius!! :)
Fantastic and experienced guide! We highly recommend Marius and the area of Narvik!
