Description

Do you dream to ski in perfect powder snow with incredible views of blue water fjords? This is the ideal trip for you! Join me for a few days of ski touring in Norway, discovering Sogn og Fjordane.

Sogn og Fjordane is a region of West Norway. One side flows to the sea and the other one is surrounded by the Jotunheimen mountains, the highest in the country. Furthermore, this area has also glacier Jostedalbreen, which is the largest in continental Europe.

All this region receives a lot of snowfall during the year, so it is well-known for its powder snow.

You can join me for a custom trip, from 2 to 7 days (or even more if you want to!).

This trip is ideal for people in a good physical condition, with some basic ski touring knowledge. We can go from 700 m up to 1500 m of height each day!

Besides, we can choose between a round trip in some classic routes in Sogn og Fjordane or exploring only one specific region. Every day, we’ll be out from 5 to 10 hours.

Alpine landscapes, fjords and great powder snow: the perfect combination for an outstanding adventure! So please contact me if you want to organize a ski touring trip in Norway. I’ll help you plan the best trip for you!

Mountain Guide

I am a fully certified IFMGA guide since 2012. I have, however, mastered my climbing and skiing skills for many years before taking up guiding. I have participated in numerous climbing expeditions not only to the wild mountains of Caucasus (which I have gotten to know pretty well), but also to Nepal, Alps and have extensively climbed in many Norwegian areas. In recent years I have been resident in Norway, and I co-operate with my friends at Lyngen Outdoor Center as their chief mountain guide.

I went ice climbing with Pawel in Rjukan. I had an awesome time and I learned a lot. Pawel is both a highly skilled climber and guide (IFMGA). His instruction was clear and very helpful. He knows the area well and ensured we were first on site and didn't have to wait at the crag. He is cheerful and easy to get along with. Could not ask for more. I'll definitely look him up next timing climbing in Norway.

Sublime experience ! Although the beauty had been well telegraphed by my predecessor friends, I was still astonished by the beauty of the pristine landscape and nature. Facing a slope covered in snow while being surrounded by fjords is the best combination of colors and drasticity at the same time. The local team headed by Artur is exceptionally efficient, always coordinated night and day, and very competent. The fact that Artur lives on site is particularly helpful.  A couple of notes to future visitors: (1) always go where Artur tells you (he knows where the good spots, finessed based on the local conditions), and (2) go with the boat and dingy, and start the ascent from the beach, at least once on your stay.  Our guide David Pellissier from Aosta was a great resource and companion: very safe, straight-shooter, and always tuned to the group's wishes and pace.

Competent, chilled and very nice guide who makes sure you get the trip that suits you. He was very patient and gave very valuable tips after each climb. I'll definitely consider him should I go ice climbing in Norway again!
