Would you like to discover the best secret winter spots in Switzerland? Then join me on this 3-day snowshoeing adventure in the Jura Mountains and Prealps ranges and I will take you to some of my favorite winter locations in the region.
Explore the Jura or Prealps ranges on snowshoes starting from Geneva, Lausanne, Vevey or Montreux on an “à la carte” program to suit your level and preferences. I will take you to some of my favorite locations, some quite remote and pristine! Then, to cap off each day, we will enjoy a delicious glass of specially selected Swiss wine. To get a better idea of what the program could look like, you can find a detailed tentative itinerary below.
Keep in mind that a typical day on snowshoes starts at around 9.30 AM and ends at around 3.30 PM. On average, you should be used to hiking for approximately 3 to 4 hours during the day. However, hikes can be made shorter too, if you wish, and no prior snowshoeing or skiing experience is required.
Would you prefer a more challenging or fast-paced tour? Then, I also offer options for experienced hikers or snowshoers and make sure you end the day satisfied. Whichever your level or preference, I will plan a unique and unforgettable program for you.

Meeting point depends on your location.
We hike up to an amazing viewpoint above Montreux, 1600 m altitude. Lake view, mountain view. Wine of the day: the “Chasselas” exclusive dry white varietal.
We transfer to the Jura for a forest hike in fresh pristine powder snow. Wild forests, animal tracks, no one around apart from our small group. We will enjoy a picnic in a small remote hut. Wine of the day: the “Vin Jaune”, a typical and very intense wine.
We will head out to reach one of the highest summits of the Jura range. View over the whole Swiss plateau and the Alps. A best-of-the-best experience on snowshoes, guaranteed. Wine of the day: 2 local specialties chosen from different areas of Switzerland (Valais and Graubünden).
I am a trained International Mountain Leader with international certification (UIMLA) and also swiss Federal authorisation. I enjoy taking my clients to places that are not necessarily the most famous but are very rewarding and out of the usual paths! I am very fond of the Jura range, especially in winter, with snowshoes! I also love the Prealp peaks in autumn and summer, and the higher Alps range at the end of summer when we can go really HIGH (because the snow is gone). I am fond of 2 day hikes or longer hikes, and also short assignments, such as half days or evenings. I am also a keen wine enthusiast (I am a certified Lavaux UNESCO guide), and I enjoy taking my clients out and tasting a good wine with typical swiss food after the hikes. If you're into learning about European history, hiking the hills and discovering old castles and forgotten passage-ways, then you're in good hands, because I'm really passionate about the cultural aspects of mountain and hill hiking.
