The Sonnblick peak (3106 m) is a glaciated mountain that watches over the stunning Stubach Valley, in Austria. Its fantastic slopes are a magnet to winter-sports lovers and specially, to splitboarders.
If you are a beginner in the activity, this program is designed for you. It starts at the Rudolfs hut (Rudolfshütte) from where we drive up to the Weissee reservoir, an idyllic place covered by spotless frozen water. Then, we ascend to the peak at 3088 m going over snowy hills and admiring the magnificent background, such as the Grossglockner (the tallest mountain in Austria). It is a unique experience!
If you want an exciting introduction to splitboarding, I think this trip will be ideal for you. You just need to book it and save the date!
There are other interesting activities in Austria, such as this splitboarding tour in the Kitzbühel Alps.

On the descents it would have been helpful if he had waited and taken a more steady pace.

The guide was extremely easy to work with and very professional. As a first time ice climber, he made it seem easy! I would recommend this company and would book them again!
