Description

Make your way to Tyrol in western Austria and take a splitboarding trip in one of the most notorious cities for mountain sports. Considered the Capital of the Alps, Innsbruck is a snowy paradise that is sure to take your breath away!

There really isn´t a better way to appreciate the Alps than by taking a day – or seventeen – and traversing the world-renowned mountains by splitboard. Innsbruck, the capital city of Tyrol, is the heart of skiing and snowboarding in more ways than one. It is centrally located both in Europe and the Alps, and the landscapes that seamlessly transition from mountain to city to valley are impressive, historical, and awe-inspiring – to say the least.

The culture here is mountain. Every aspect of Innsbruck and Tyrol is designed around the geoformations and the land.  The city prides itself on its top notch accommodation of tourists from around the world who want nothing but the best.

The powder is pristine and plentiful, as are the runs and lines that have hosted the Winter Olympics in both 1964 and 1976. Beginners and professionals alike have ample opportunity to hone their craft and improve their skills. This translates to terrain as well; you have great places at resorts to cut your teeth, and less crowded areas to really dig in to the natural wonder of this unbelievable mountain range.

Your program is specifically designed for this. You can splitboard in high alpine areas that will test your abilities and give you a rare experience that you will never be able to replicate again. You can tour the various mountain huts all along the Alps over several days and immerse yourself in the very special culture of this profound region.

Some of the most remote places here have some of the most rewarding views. By splitboarding, nothing will hold you back from getting the most out of this trip. It will help us reach the most desirable spots for the most captivating runs.

I know Tyrol and Innsbruck extremely well, so tailoring a program for you is my pleasure. I can help you develop your skills on any number of runs and lines throughout Innsbruck, and we can carve out your perfect program together so you have a safe, unique, and ultimately fun experience!

This trip is open to anyone who is prepared to splitboard in the Alps, so a generally good physical shape and some experience is necessary. I can prepare a program to cover a number of days, so the sustained challenge is also something you should be prepared for.

Book an amazing Innsbruck trip with me and I will show you the best snow and the best runs in the Austrian Alps!

I can also take you ski touring in Innsbruck if that is more your style. And we can travel through both Austria and Switzerland on a ski touring program!

About the guide

I'm a IFMGA mountain guide based in Lustenau, Austria. I'm also a ski instructor (level 2), a canyoning and rafting guide. I'm a member of the Mountain Rescue Team and Alpin First Aid Responder.

Working as a guide in the mountains and the water is for me the best thing ever that could happen to me. So I can share the fascinating sites of nature and of life. To see the happy faces at the end of a trip is just fantastic.
I like guiding in the whole alps and in all kind of disciplines but my favourites are still skiing, canyoning and rock climbing.

Some of my favorite spots are the Rätikon for climbing, Lombardia (Italy) and Ticino (Switzerland) for Canyoning and skiing where the snow is good :)
