Description

If you are planning a weekend far from the fierceness of the city, come with me and enjoy the calm and nature of Lesachtal.

The program I am proposing today consists of a guided ski touring weekend among the tree lines and deep slopes of the snow-capped valley of Lesachtal. Lesachtal lies in the location of Carinthia, Austria. It borders the Karnische Alps and the Lienz Dolomites, which is a perfect region for ski touring.

Furthermore, it is a delightful place for the practice of any other kind of winter activity. That’s why I love this region and, as a local guide, I know each corner of the valley better than anyone else. During these two days, I will help you to find the best powder ski runs.

Besides that, while you are ski-touring around the area, you won’t believe the stunning surroundings: deep slopes, white meadows, and a dense forest. This trip always runs from Thursday to Sunday and from Sunday to Thursday. The available departures start at the end of January till the end of March.

If you’d like to join me on this ski tour, please take into account that you’ll need some prior experience in all kinds of terrains. In addition, a good physical shape is also necessary.

Finally, let me tell you that the safety equipment can be borrowed for a cost and on request. In addition, remember to bring your own ski touring equipment, suitable clothes, and a small backpack. If needed, the ski touring equipment has to be borrowed in Obertilliach at Sport Auer“ the day before the course starts.

Additionally, if you are looking for a longer experience, I also offer a 5-day trip (Sunday to Thursday) and an 8-day trip (Sunday to Sunday) in the same area. At the bottom of this description, you’ll find the complete program detailing the day-by-day of the trip.

Itinerary

Day 1: Meeting day

Welcome meeting and equipment check. After that, we will also go over the weather and snow conditions and plan the itinerary.

Day 2: Splitboarding day

After breakfast, we will start splitboarding. Of course, the itinerary will be adapted to the weather and snow conditions.

Day 3: Splitboarding + ending point

Another splitboarding day. At about 3P.M. we’ll enjoy a nice coffee in the Hepi Lodge, our home during the entire weekend. End of the program.

I’m a IFMGA certified mountain guide and a nature lover. I was born in 1983 and I studied Cultural and social anthropology at the Vienna University.

Mountains, water, cultures have been always my passion. That’s why I’m a mountain, ski, canyoning and rafting guide, also a ski instructor and a snowboard enthusiast.

Helene and myself are the owners of the Hepi lodge. A space for mountaineers, climbers, skiing enthusiasts where besides offering the accommodation service we proposed varied programmes of different activities: rock climbing, ski touring, canyoning, hiking tours.

I guide most of my time in Lesachtal Valley: St Lorenzen, St Jakob, Birnbaum, Karnische Alps and Lienz Dolomites.
