Description

Yet another great peak in the Alps of Austria, full of spectacular views, the Staffkogel mountain (2,115m) is a wonderful place to visit.

On this trip that can last one, or several days, depending on the kind of experience you want, you will get to splitboard on the Staffkogel peak. You will get to trek to its summit, and you will get to enjoy the thrilling descent back down.

From the peak’s summit, you will get to see other magnificent peaks throughout Tyrol, from the Kitzbuhel Alps, to the Wilder Kaiser mountains.

The  ascent of Staffkogel is gradual and involves several wonderful highlights. At the start of the trip we will follow the Wildalmgraben and then make our way over the Staffalm (1,589 m). After that, we will continue up to the Oberreiterjoch (1,860 m). From there, it’s on the Staffkogel summit. From the summit, you will get to enjoy the spellbinding views. And when you’ve had your fill of those views, you will then embark on the exciting descent back down the mountain

To participate on this trip it is important you are in good physical condition. And some prior splitboarding experience on a mountain is a plus as well.

Splitboarding from the summit of an Austrian peak is an experience you will never forget. And I would be happy to guide you on an adventure on one such peak, the Staffkogel. So send me a request, and let’s make our way up and down this amazing mountain.

I can also take you on a similar splitboarding adventure on another Austrian peak: Sonnspitze.

My guide ended up being a local snowboard guide named Peter. It was excellent. Lovely guy, we got to ride some powder as well as practice searching with the avalanche rescue equipment. All round good day. Would highly recommend

2 Great days with Mathias. He was awesome with our group that had mixed ability and ages 11-60+. And he was terrific at planning another full day with 11-18 year old kids who had an awesome adventure. Thanks Mathias.

The pricing system was not really user friendly. Still I have a positive feedback in the website. The link was sharable with the group, everything in one place with booking code as reference. It was a positive experience for me. I'm happy. It was even easy to organise it for the others.
