Join me on this 1-day program and enjoy snowshoeing in Tête de Pibossan, near the beautiful Var River in southeastern France.
At 1,620 meters above sea level, Tête de Pibossan is in the commune of La Croix-sur-Roudoule in the Alpes-Maritimes department. In this region, we can enjoy snowshoeing and explore a fantastic natural area with great views at the same time.
On this 1-day trip, we’ll depart from Léouvé and enjoy both hiking and snowshoeing across a zigzagging trail. The path will lead us to Collet de Larmelle (1,344 meters) and we’ll discover a forest of fir and larch trees. From the top of the mountain, we’ll contemplate spectacular views of the Var River and the Roudoule valley.
Please, keep in mind that we’ll face an elevation gain of 700 meters on the ascent and reach an altitude of 1,200 meters. Although it’s not necessary to have any prior experience, it’s important to have a good level of fitness.

I booked a tour with Fabrice on late May, definitely the highlight of my holiday, we went on a hike around Casterino It was a relaxed hike with great sights of mountain forests and lakes, I got to see some of the local fauna and flora of the park, ibex, marmots, chamois, although not as much as they would be in the area, possibly because of the wolfs (we saw some footprints). Overall it is a great way to see the surroundings. I would definitely recommend Fabrice as a guide for your next hike!
