Description

This Val d'Aran ice climbing course will give you the knowledge to climb on the most amazing locations in the Pyrenees!

Instead of having to stop doing outdoor activities when the freezing winter cold arrives, this is your opportunity to learn a new climbing technique. Although it seems like an impossible enterprise, I'll show you how to do it step by step. Please note that this course can only be taught in Spanish.

Plus you'll enjoy the closeness to the amazing formations made out of small frozen waterfalls. These amazing ice formations change their look they after day with the sun and the cold. But they are truly unique features and you'll be privileged to be able to climb on them.

This course's main goal is to teach you how to climb safely and with autonomy on an ice waterfall.

First we'll check the gear and your knowledge of how to use and take care of it. We'll also talk about the planning of your trip and how to eat and drink properly for the experience.

Then I'll teach you more complex techniques such as gestures, ice axe traction, different types of anchor, security chains, etc.

So please don’t hesitate to contact me and make this Val d'Aran ice climbing course happen. And send me all your requests so I can make the proper arrangements.

And if you’d like to check out some of my other courses, please take a look at my 2-day Val d’Aran introductory alpine course or my Val d’Aran advanced alpine course.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
