Val di Mello Hike from San Martino, Lombardy

The Val di Mello Nature Reserve is a place of undisputed beauty, and on this hike, I will take you to a unique site, famous for its rocky walls that have been modelled by glaciers centuries ago.

We will set off from the town of San Martino, and once we are in the reserve,  we will begin our loop hike. On the way, we will go through forests and meadows, with big and small boulders lining the path. We will also follow the Mello river, which runs between  2 smooth granite walls that have been shaped by ancient glaciers. The unique wilderness environment will fill all of our senses!

This easy loop hike takes around 3 hours, and it is suitable for everyone. It spans 9 km/5.6 miles and boasts a 230 m elevation gain. I will be there every step of the way to help and guide you!
