Climbing Grandes Jorasses

The Grandes Jorasses are a group of spectacular granite peaks lying in the northern part of the Mont Blanc massif, on the border between Haute-Savoie in France and the Aosta Valley in Italy. Pointe Walker (4208 m) is the highest peak of the mountain. The north face of the Grandes Jorasses, located on the French side, is one of the three great north faces of the Alps, together with the north faces of the Matterhorn and the Eiger. Its 1200 m wall it’s a real challenge, even for experienced climbers.
